Biography

TROY COOK, JR.

Troy was born in Orange County, California, but has spend most of his life growing up on a farm in Beebe, Arkansas. January 2007 he relocated to the Nashville, Tennessee area to position himself better in the country music world.

His love for music inspired him to learn to play many instruments, lead guitar being his greatest passion. He also concentrated on writing some of his own songs, several reaching #1 with the EUROPEAN COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION.

During his earlier career with an independent label, he scored high with several awards, including 'BEST OF TEXAS INT'L COUNTRY MALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR' & 'EUROPEAN COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOC MALE VOCALIST & ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR'.

Some of his other accomplishments are:
Opening for The Kentucky Headhunters, Jerry Reed, T. Graham Brown & Moe Bandy. He has played shows with: Tommy Cash, Billy Walker & Ernie Ashworth. He was in the movie 'COME EARLY MORNING' starring Ashley Judd, with 2 of his songs can be found on the sound track of the movie.

January 2009 he joined "DAVID BALL & The Pioneer Playboys, playing lead guitar, singing harmony and singing some lead. When not on the road with The Pioneer Playboys, he spends his time in the studio singing & playing guitar on demos, writing music & performing on his own shows.

Recently Troy had the opportunity to play the majority of lead guitar on David Ball's new album 'SPARKLE CITY'.

Currently Troy is working on a new album, with hopes of having it completed by the end of 2010.
