TROY COOK, JR.

Troy was born in Orange County, California, but has spend most of his life growing up on a farm in Beebe, Arkansas. As of January 2007 Troy is now living in Nashville, Tennessee. Country music has been a life-long passion with this 25 year old artist. For being so young, his musical talents are amazing. Singing, song-writing, & playing many instruments seems to come naturally to him. Over the years he has developed a lead guitar style & quality comparable to any in the country music industry, he can also play steel, mandolin, dobro & bass guitars, fiddle & drums. He also has a fine talent for writing songs & can sing a variety of songs in various styles, the best part of all is THAT IT'S COUNTRY!!

Troy made a decision years ago to devote all of his time to pursuing a career in the country music business. His band "TROY COOK, JR. & THE LONG HAUL BAND" have been traveling all over the U.S.A. playing great traditional country music & now are on a European tour in the near future.

In late 1999 he completed his first album "INTRODUCING TROY COOK, JR." on a local Arkansas label which was an instant hit with the ECMA (European Country Music Assn). the albums success was so great that it lead to Troy signing with the Nashville based STARDUST RECORDS in October 2000. By mid 2001 a second 12 song album was completed with the help & guidance of award-winning producer Colonel Buster Doss. Doss is well known as an actor, songwriter & singer. This Stardust album "IT'S LONG OVERDUE" has received even more overwhelming success worldwide & with the American independent audience which has lead to numerous awards:

Several of the 12 songs were written by The Colonel & 2 were co-written by Troy & The Colonel. All 12 songs have been released, most of them reaching #1 position on the various independent charts and the rest peaked within the top 10.

On March 9, 2004, Troy completed his album 'IT'S ALL ABOUT LOVE' again on Stardust under the direction of Colonel Buster Doss. All of the songs have been released, several reached #1 position on several of the independent charts and the rest peaked in the top 5. Three of the songs were co-written by Troy & friends, one written by the Colonel & the rest by various great song writers.

On May 30, 2005 Troy began recording his most recent project again under the direction of Colonel Buster Doss. Troy completed 9 songs under the direction of the Colonel, but after the passing of the Colonel last August, friend & song writer Dennis Adkins helped in the production of the last 4 completing the 13 song album "PLAIN & SIMPLE COUNTRY".
